£1.2m drug plot accused due in court

Seven men are due in court in Plymouth today accused of plotting to supply amphetamine worth more than £1million.

They're charged with conspiracy to supply 121.5 kilos of the class B drug.

The men facing the charges are: Harold McKinley, 57, from Weston Mill; Peter Filip, 40, from Devonport; Stephen Adamson, 64, from Millbridge; Darren Ford, 45, from Redruth; Stephen Gibbs, 47, from St Austell; John Ruddle, 57 from Lanner near Redruth; and Philip Carroll, 54, from Liverpool.

The drugs were seized when a car was stopped by police on the A38 in Saltash in July last year.

More amphetemine was then found in a garage in the city.

All seven are expected to enter their pleas today.
