A Plymouth nightclub is to close permanently

Police in Plymouth are appealing for anyone who believes they have been a victim of crime at a nightclub closed down by the council to come forward.

Divas on Union Street had its license revoked by the city council yesterday, after police asked them to review it. The club has 21 days to appeal the decision.

Police believe the lapdancing club was associated with serious crime and disorder and had been breaching the conditions of their license.

As part of an ongoing fraud investigation, two people connected to Divas were arrested and released on bail in October last year.
