British Art Show launches in city

The British Art show launches in Plymouth today for the first time in the exhibition's history.

The contemporary work of 39 artists will be on display at five venues across the city.

Turner Prize nominees George Shaw and Karla Black are amongst those displaying their work - with the winner due to be announced during the exhibition's time here.

Plymouth's the final stop for the British Art Show and co-curator Lisa LeFeuvre says that makes it more exciting because they've had the chance to experiment with the juxtapositions of pieces three times before.
