One way or another Southway shopping centre will be cleaned up, according to the city council.

The owners have been issued with an 'untidy land notice', which means they'll have to decorate and repair the buildings, remove rubbish and graffiti within the next 3 months.

It's after local residents complained to the city council about the state of the centre.

The local authority says if the London based owners don't clean up their act, they'll be billed for the work to be done.

They have until February 17th to appeal the notice through the magistrates court.
