Dartmoor visitor numbers soar after 'War Horse' release

The first guided walk to show people some of the Dartmoor sights featured in the Stephen Spielberg film 'War Horse' is already full.

The national park authority is planning a series of guided walks to  areas like Ditsworthy Warren House, Haytor and Cadover Bridge.

An influx of visitors are expected to Dartmoor after the film, which is based on Devon author Michael Morpurgo's book, climbed to the top of the Box office charts on its opening weekend.

Claire Partridge from the Park authority says there's already been increased activity in the areas featured in the film and that they're planning an extra walk, as they've proven so popular.

The first two walks, including one TODAY, are already booked, but there is another walk planned in late February - you can find out more here.
