Ex Argyle vice chair fears liquidation

Plymouth Argyle's former vice chairman says he's worried that the club could be liquidated at the end of the week.

There are now just over 24 hours left for the deal with Bishop International to be approved by the Football League and for the consortium to give the club around six milion pounds.

Fans have set up a vigil outside Home Park and will man it 24/7 until the game against Crewe on Saturday - 125 candles are being lit to mark every year of Argyle's existence.

Many are worried that if the current deal does fall through, there won't be enough time to complete an alternative.

Former vice chairman Peter Jones says the administrator should have gone with Devon businessman James Brent's bid. He claims that bid probably would've gone through by now.

Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has said everything is still on track to complete the deal with Bishop International tomorrow.
