Former Plymouth headteacher to be sentenced for sexual assaults on children

A former Plymouth headteacher could face jail today after he was convicted of 25 counts of sexual assault.

Neil Dyer was found guilty of the offences against the children in his care earlier this month.

His victims were 13 boys, a girl and a nineteen year old man.

The incidents happened between 1976 and 1992, when he was headteacher at Widey court primary.

Dyer was formerly known as Geoffrey Burley .

He will be sentenced at Plymouth Crown court today.
