Hundreds of objections submitted on proposed cycle track at Plymbridge Woods

Hundreds of people have sent letters to the council objecting to controversial plans to build a cycle track at Plymbridge woods.

The National Trust wants to build a 15 km track there for cyclists and mountain bikers.

Part of the plans includes visitors paying for parking, which campaigners argue could result in residents in the surrounding areas having to pay for permits to park outside their own homes.

They also say mixing extreme mountain biking with walkers and cyclists is dangerous.

The National Trust has said it will bring more people to the area and that the areas for mountain biking would be separate to those for walkers.
