Paul Buttivant not in running for Argyle

Devon businessman James Brent is currently the only  bidder for Plymouth Argyle to have made a serious offer, according to the club's administrator.

Brendan Guilfoyle says South east businessman Paul Buttivant has not been able to prove he has the funds to make any purchase, so they have ended talks with him.

Staff have been told to expect just fifteen per cent of their salary in May as discussions with an Irish consortium begin.

It's now hoped that an owner will be in place by June.

Meanwhile MPs Oliver Colvile and Alison Seabeck met with club staff today - office workers haven't been paid now since January.

They will be talking to unions and the football league to see if any more can be done to help them financially.
