Plymouth Argyle has gone into administration.

The board of directors made the decision this afternoon, after HM Revenue and Customs put forward a winding up order to the high court in london. The order was dismissed because a club in administartion cannot be wound up.

Brendan Guilfoyle has taken control of the club with immediate effect; he's been appointed as the lead administrator.

He will now be responsible for trying to find a buyer and says he's optimistic that they'll find one.
