Quarry homes decision delayed

A decision on whether to grant planning permission for more than 200 homes at Hooe Quarry has been deferred.

Barratt Homes want to put the houses on former MOD land, but some locals have argued it will put too much strain on the transport network and will destroy wildlife.

The project will now be considered at February's planning committee.

Councillor John Lock says there were problems with a site visit as they couldn't get access to the whole site. He adds there are also issues over sewage disposal, highways and Section 106 money.
