Tamar Bridge officials say teething problems are resolved

Staff in charge of major resurfacing work on the Tamar Bridge say today should be easier for commuters.

There was a big backlog of traffic eastbound yesterday afternoon, but control room staff say they have developed a way to change the direction of traffic flow more quickly.

The five week project began yesterday and the main deck is down to one lane.

Some cyclists have said they couldn't find the shuttle buses in Saltash.

The Tamar Bridge office says there are two shuttles running from 6.30am to 6.30pm and that they go from Lower fore street in Saltash and from the Tamar Bridge car park on the Plymouth side. Outside these hours one shuttle will operate.
